Holy Trinity Parish celebrates the Sacrament of Baptism on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 12:30pm at Holy Trinity Church, Queenscliff.
Bookings are essentials via the Parish office on 5258 1673 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Families are required to attend baptism preparation. The baptism preparation must be done prior to the baptism. The baptism preparation is conducted on the 1st Saturday of each month at 11:00am at the Parish Office. The session goes for approximately an hour.
Godparents & Sponsors: At least one Godparent must be Catholic, baptised and have had their Sacraments. Godparents must be over the age of 16. Godparents’ names must be confirmed by the Wednesday before the baptism date so certificates can be prepared for the day.
Gift of Thanks: It is customary to give a gift of thanks for baptism; between $50-$100 to cover costs for administration & resources, cleaning & disinfecting, priest’s stipend, baptism stole and baptism candle. The gift of thanks can be given to Fr Darien on the baptism day. You are welcome to bring our own stole/candle, otherwise a stole and candle will be provided on the baptism day.
Church capacity for FULLY VACCINATED people (unless a medical exemption applies) from the age of 12 and over:
There are no density limits on numbers for fully vaccinated attendees from the age of 12 and 2 months. Unvaccinated attendees with a valid medical exemption are included.
This applies to all three Churches within our Parish.
The Archbishop’s office asks us to use common sense in continuing to manage the best and most appropriate safety and hygiene measures for our communities. Therefore, we encourage people attending our Masses and Services to wear masks, similar to our primary school settings, to protect children under the age of 12 who are not yet able to be vaccinated. Currently, our primary schools require students from Grade 3 to Grade 6 to wear masks (unless an exemption applies) and for parents and visitors coming on site also to wear masks.
This is to ensure we are COVID safe and compliant to guidelines, whilst celebrating in a spiritual way.
- check-in electronically using the provided QR code
- present your check-in confirmation with proof of vaccination or proof of exemption to the COVID Check-in Marshal
- sanitise their hands upon entry to the Church.
We ask families and attendees to arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure they are checked in and follow COVID protocol before the commencement of the baptism service.
Please see below for additional information and the Parish boundary.
If you reside outside of the Parish boundary, a letter of permission is required from your local Parish.
