Enrolments for the 2025 Sacramental Program will open mid-year. We are unable to accept early enrolments. There will be changes to the 2025 Program, so watch this space!
Please download and complete the enrolment form (see below) with supporting Sacramental certificates/documentation.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR 2024:

  • Enrolment and family information session: no session in 2024, please submit enrolment forms via email to the parish office with payment to secure your child’s enrolment.
  • Class commencement date:
    • Reconciliation and First Eucharist: Tuesday 6th February 2024 at 4:00pm at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church.
    • Confirmation: Wednesday 7th February 2023 at 4:00pm at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church.
  • Enrolments are closed as of 10am, 6th February; we are no longer able to accept enrolment forms for each class. Classes are at capacity.
  • No classes during school holidays between 1st to 12th April 2024 inclusive.

 

PLEASE NOTE FOR RECONCILIATION CLASS 2024: as of 18th December 2023, class is now at capacity. Regrettably, we are no longer able to accept enrolment forms for Reconciliation.

 

SACRAMENTAL MASS/SERVICE DATES FOR 2024:

  • Confirmation Mass: Saturday 11th May at 2:00pm at Holy Trinity Church, Queenscliff, with Bishop Martin Ashe and Fr Darien Sticklen.
  • Reconciliation Service: date to be advised; we are currently wanting on schools to provide information on their programs in Terms 1 & 2.
  • First Eucharist Mass: date to be advised; we are currently wanting on schools to provide information on their programs in Terms 1 & 2.

 

The Parish offers a Sacramental Program to students not attending Catholic schools. The program usually commences a few weeks after Term 1 starts.

Classes are held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church (68 John Dory Drive, Ocean Grove) from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

Parents and families are asked to complete an enrolment form and return the form with payment to the parish office before the specified date (to be advised mid-year) to register their child(ren). Class numbers are capped and limited.

We require a copy of your child(ren)’s Baptism certificate and any other Sacramental Certificate (if appropriate) upon enrolment. Your child must be baptised prior to commencing the Sacramental Program.

The program fee is $100.00 per family. Note: this fee is subject to change. The fee payment is required upon enrolment. Please contact Daniella at the parish office if you have any questions or concerns.

Children can only receive one Sacrament per year. Our Sacramental Program is run by wonderful volunteers; however, our resources are limited and classes run at the same time.

Sponsors for Confirmation candidates:

  • the Sponsor must be over the age of 16.
  • the Sponsor must be Catholic faith, baptised and has received all of their Sacraments.
  • Parents are unable to be their child’s Sponsor.

Please note:

  • Some COVID guidelines & restrictions apply.
  • Parents must also sign their child(ren) in/out upon arrival and pick up.
