IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SAFEGUARDING
VOLUNTEERS, WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECKS AND CODE OF CONDUCT
National regulations have been in place for some time regarding volunteers in any community organisation. How this applies in our Parish is that all volunteers must hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and have signed a Melbourne Archdiocese Code of Conduct. This includes all members of ministry, flower arrangers, singers/musicians, etc. A volunteer WWCC is free with applications completed online or at select Post Offices. Your WWCC must be registered at the Parish Office. If you have any enquiries or need assistance with your WWCC, please contact the Parish Office 5258 1673 or via email. The Parish must also keep a record of all volunteers within the parish. If your details are not up to date, please contact the Parish Office as soon as possible.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we work together to comply with our legal requirements.
